I’m a humor writer who landed myself in the wine industry by chance.
I originally started the Wine For Misfit site when my winemaker husband moved us to Napa in 2017.
Since most people move to wine country for wine and culinary careers, I got a job in the industry thanks to the lack of a digital marketing talent pool.
After a few years of marketing a wine-kegging business, I managed to convince a winery that I was the perfect fit for their copywriting team.
It was great. I had a real, full-time writing joby-job.
Then I got laid off.
Womp womp.
So, I decided to use all the angsty copy I couldn’t use in their content and reboot my Wine For Misfits site. Now I can use that once rejected copy in my content.
Since the site’s OG launch, I have become more knowledgeable (WSET II knowledgable (IYKYK)), a slightly better writer, and a slightly worse graphic designer.
I’m here to make the funnest wine & travel blog, write lame jokes, and essentially make myself laugh.
