The travel style of this blogger is to walk around a neighborhood and bop into random places. Sometimes it’s a touristy spot, other times it’s a wine bar, and that one time it was a venue featuring mermen ornaments.
THE KITTy RATING SYSTEM
What it is
The Kitty Rating System originally started in 2017 when I found out a major beverage retailer advertised wine scores rated by their employee instead of critics. It was then I realized that I, too, can create an arbitrary scoring system.
Thus, the Kitty Rating System was born.
How it works
Each wine, winery, boozy establishment, or travel destination will get a score of 1 – 10 Kitties. I refuse to write any negative reviews since the internet is already littered with them. That means landing on this site (even if it gets a low score) is an honor. It’s *exactly like the Michelin Star system.
*By exactly, I mean not at all.
Low & High Scores
The highest score is 10 Kitties. Because I want to support the little guys, only small businesses can earn this coveted honor.
Unfortunately, any brand made by the winery that laid me off (you know who you are) can’t earn high scores. But, a lot of their wines are delicious and made by very talented winemakers, so they can earn up to 3 Kitties.
See, I’m not bitter.
