A MILK FARM IN LA

Okay, I need a mini prologue for this one: Paris ruined American Cheese plates for me. You get so much more cheese in France for a fraction of the cost.

As someone who’s chronically gluttonous, this is a great win for me.

However, you could argue American cheese plates prevent cheese overconsumption.

I’ll let you decide which option is better.

With that said, I still very much so enjoy a solid American cheese plate. You can proceed reading.

MILK FARM CHEESE & WINE

Bistro tables line the building’s front window on the sidewalk, leaving ample space for walkers and puppers.

Of course, I didn’t take a pic because that would have been the professional thing to do. In fact, I only took two pics of my entire visit. Luckily for you, I’m a fantastic editor and managed to get four photos out of the two for this blog.

You’re welcome.

THE PARKING SITCH (SHORT FOR SITUATION)

There was metered parking on the main street and two-hour parking around the corner.

I found an open metered spot about two doors down from Milk Farm. The meter conveniently sat next to a very good-looking couple (cuz, LA) enjoying their romantic lunch.

So when I got out of my car to pay the meter, I had a lot of anxiety about the attractive couple’s proximity to the meter because for me to pay, my booty would be shoulder level with the guy and eye level with the girl.

I weighed my options on whether a parking ticket was worth avoiding an awkward social interaction.

I chose the awkward interaction.

We all sat there in silence for the 38 seconds it took the meter to process my credit card.

CHEESE PLEASE

They have one fixed cheese plate you can order for their patio. It came with three cheeses and the option to add a baguette and hot honey.

I added both.

The whole place is a little bougie mini-mart. If you don’t have time to sit and snack, you can at least get a few items to go.

BOUGIE ITEMS, DOWN-TO-EARTH STAFF

The staff was fantastic. When I walked in, I b-lined straight to the register with a confused expression. I asked the person behind the counter where I could get a cheese plate and they walked me to the cheese counter.

The cheese counter you will see immediately as you enter the building.

The employee did not judge me.

They get 10/10 Kitties.

WINE BY THE GLASS OR THE BOTTLE

Their by-the-glass menu was simple with three options: Red, White, and Orange. I appreciate having only a few choices. It really makes the decision-making process nearly effortless.

If you want more varietals, you can buy a bottle of wine, pay a small corkage fee, and sip it there.

BUY THE SANDOS

The person helping me highly recommended a sandwich. One option was grilled cheese (it looked legit). But because I was there for one thing only (a cheese plate), I didn’t get to try the sandwich.

If you have gotten one, please let us know how it was in the comments below.

CHILL VIBE

Overall Milk Farm had a great vibe. Super chill, simple yet delicious menu, and wine (and beer) you can sip while people watching and looking out for awkward meter/dining interactions.

TL;DR

Milk Farm offers a simple yet tasty menu with great staff in a cute LA neighborhood that has ample parking.
